Hi, I'm Alyssa, the founder & lead trainer of Tri-Dog Solutions!

My journey to founding TDS has had a myriad of animal-centric experiences that started in childhood and have spanned decades - including working with upwards of 1500+ dogs and their families. It all started with helping train my families' standard poodles as a teenager, continued into college where I graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Education from the University of Delaware. Then going on to teaching animal sciences at W.B. Saul Agricultural High School in Philadelphia, to completing certifications in multiple equine therapy modalities. While also fostering (and training) dozens of dogs for local rescue organizations and getting my personal dog certified as a therapy dog and volunteering with her at local hospitals together. At this point, I started to seriously pursue dog training as a professional career by going on to shadow and work as a professional dog trainer for 6.5 years with Opportunity Barks - this path has culminated in the creation of Tri-Dog Solutions and our specialized programs aimed at bringing harmony back to as many dogs and their families as possible.

I consider myself a life long learner and am continually studying the art and science of dogs, training and learning . This curiosity has led me to completing continuing education clinics & courses with well respected dog trainers including: Jay Jack, Maryna Ozuna, Brenda Aloff, Nino Drowaert, Mark McCabe and Jon Czinder.

Every step in this journey has taught me something valuable that I bring to my clients in a variety of ways. I have the background, training, and passion to customize my approach to best help dogs and their humans, no matter what kind of learner they are. With a kind, fair, honest and empathetic approach to all of the families we work with, we aim to keep training inclusive, simple, fun and effective.

When not working with clients, you can find me competing in several dog sports with my own dogs, Wally and Noni, reading a good book or out trail riding with my Mustang Cloud.

I am so excited to help others calm the chaos, and truly understand their dogs. I hope to meet you and your pup soon.

Alyssa

Your Best Friend The Dog Trainer

Dana joined TDS in March of 2024 and has been an integral part of building our dog community.

She is not only passionate about helping dogs, but she is empathetic to their humans, genuine in her approach, and funny to boot 😉

She brings a warm energy and infectious charisma to all of her sessions that truly fosters collaboration between owners and their dogs throughout the entire training process.

Her personal dog training journey began when her own dog Charlie developed behavioral issues as an adolescent which prompted Dana to seek help from a local trainer.  After working with Charlie, she went on to train professionally in a board and train facility where she shadowed and studied under multiple trainers, while also â€‹helping 300+ owners and their dogs find success on their training journeys. â€‹
