Life with our dogs consists of a series of interactions and experiences day in and day out that either strengthens our understanding of one another, or weakens it. We have over simplified the way these interactions effect our families into this diagram.
You've probably reached out for training help at this point (which is great!) but have you considered that there are other ways that we may need to shift our interactions with our dogs to get the results we want?
Training is just one part of the puzzle, we want to make sure we are meeting our dogs needs (fulfilling them), communicating appropriately (and consistently), and that we're enjoying time together (whether thats through play, adventures or shared experiences). These other circles may seem hard to fathom depending on the issues you're currently experiencing, but we're aiming for progress not perfection in our relationships right?
So ask yourself, what ways can I shift any of these bubbles? Once you do, see how it effects your life and if it gets you just a bit closer to the harmony in your home that you've been looking for.
